Care
of your Essany Cabinetry
With proper care, Essany cabinetry will provide a lifetime of
use and satisfaction. Proper care involves attentive cleaning
and careful avoidance of some damaging household cleaners.
Upon
Installation
Wipe cabinets clean with a soft, water only dampened cloth and
dry immediately with another soft dry cloth. Apply a thin coat
of a high quality polish. Choose a polish that contains no
silicon or wax and follow the manufacturers instructions for
applications. Essany Custom Cabinetry recommends Guardsman
Concentrate Cream Polish.
Basic
Cleaning
Wipe with a water only dampened soft cloth and promply wipe
dry. Use a clean dampened cloth with a solution of a mild wood
soap, such as Guardsman Wood Cleaner, or Murphy's Oil Soap and
water to remove oil, grease, or daily spills. Do not use
dishwashing soap, as it contains harsh detergents that will
damage the finish. Avoid using strong soaps, abrasive
cleaners, or self polishing waxes. We do not recommend using
paste wax because of buildup and yellowing effects over time.
Avoid
Excessive Moisture
Moisture is one the worst enemies of any finish. Cabinetry
near the sink and dishwasher, and also the baseboards, are
most susceptible. Immediately dry off areas where water has
spilled.
Avoid
Exposure to Amines
Amines are nitrogen containing compounds, such as ammonia and
bleach, which will damage the finish of your cabinetry with
prolonged contact. Avoid exposure to these potential sources
of amines: ammonia based cleaners, automotive polishes, floor
waxes and cleaners, some adhesives, and plant fertilizers.
Guard
Against Scratching and Abrasion
Avoid using abrasive pads and cleaners as them will dull fine
finishes. Any kitchen that sees normal use will inevitably
develop nicks and scratches. Repair of these nicks can be made
by use of touch up sticks and pens that are provided in your
installation kit. If your installation kit is not available,
you can email us and
povide us with your name, job number, (which is located on the
bottom side of any drawer), and shipping address, and we will
provide you with a touchup kit for a nominal cost. If you have
a larger scratch that needs refinishing, contact us for
shipping instructions.

To File
A Warranty Claim
To file a warranty claim, the purchaser should contact the
local authorized dealer or distributor from whom the cabinets
were originally purchased. The authorized dealer or
distributor will obtain the information necessary to make a
claim decision and forward such information to Essany Custom
Cabinetry, for action on the claim. Warranty claims must
include a complete description of how the defect occurred.

filing a warranty claim.
